Tracy Ayodele | Founder & Lawyer
Tracy Ayodele is a Nigerian-Canadian lawyer focusing on immigration and refugee law. Tracy received her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, where she was awarded the Cassels Brock and Blackwell LLP prize for Ethical Lawyering in a Global Community. While at Osgoode, Tracy was an editor for the school's intellectual property law and technology blog, IPilogue, and completed an internship at the Copyright and International Trade Policy Branch of Canadian Heritage in Ottawa. Prior to obtaining her J.D., Tracy completed a Master of Arts in Legal Studies at Carleton University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in Criminology from York University.
Tracy is passionate about matters surrounding international relations, migration and advocacy, and has dedicated her practice to assisting individuals immigrating to Canada, refugee claimants and asylum seekers. Tracy completed her articles at a boutique immigration law firm where she gained broad exposure to immigration law, which eventually inspired her to open her own practice in the area.
Tracy is a spirited legal researcher and writer, and co-authored “Hot-tubbing in Canadian Patent Litigation: A Preliminary Assessment”, published in the Intellectual Property Journal. In her spare time, Tracy enjoys blogging on innovation in emerging economies, practicing yoga, reading and travelling.

Ayra Cadayona | Senior Legal Assistant

Ayra Cadayona is a dedicated Filipino-Canadian legal assistant at Ayodele Law, where she plays a key role in supporting the firm’s legal operations. In her role, Ayra is responsible for preparing and filing legal documents, maintaining organized client files, scheduling appointments, and responding promptly to client inquiries. She communicates with clients through phone, email, and virtual meetings, ensuring professional and compassionate service. Ayra also collaborates closely with the legal team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Before joining Ayodele Law in 2022, Ayra served as an office manager at a consultancy firm from 2017 to 2022, where she honed her administrative and client service skills.
As an immigrant who moved to Canada as a foreign worker, Ayra became a Canadian citizen through one of the country’s immigration pathways. Her personal journey inspired a strong passion for immigration law, motivating her to help others navigate the immigration process and build better lives in Canada.
Ayra graduated with honours from CDI College, earning a certificate in the Immigration Consultant program. She is also a certified Practical Nurse in the Philippines and holds a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate in Canada—demonstrating her broad professional background in both legal and healthcare fields.
Outside of work, Ayra enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves camping, traveling internationally, and exploring new destinations. A music enthusiast, she actively participates in her local Filipino-Canadian Christian church community in Toronto.
Ayra is fluent in both Tagalog and English, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of clients.
Yazmin Paez | Paralegal

Yazmin Paez is a bilingual immigration consultant and a recent graduate of CIMT College, where she earned a Paralegal Diploma accredited by the Law Society of Ontario (2024). Prior to this, she completed the Immigration Consultant program at Herzing College in 2014, establishing a strong foundation for her work in Canadian immigration services.
As one of the 46.6% of immigrants living in the Greater Toronto Area, she has personally experienced the challenges faced by many newcomers—such as securing permanent residency and overcoming language barriers. These experiences inspired her to pursue a meaningful career in immigration law, driven by a desire to help others navigate the complexities of the system and find stability in Canada.
Fluent in both Spanish and English, she is dedicated to serving the Hispanic community by offering accessible, culturally sensitive legal support. Her ability to communicate in her clients’ native language helps foster trust and clarity in often stressful legal situations.
Over the past 20 years, she has worked with diverse communities in immigration and settlement services. During that time, she has helped hundreds of families begin new lives in Canada—witnessing firsthand how proper legal guidance can provide life-changing protection, opportunity, and peace of mind.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys hiking and climbing, activities that reflect her adventurous spirit and appreciation for nature.
Cheryl Okuthe | Legal Assistant
Cheryl Achieng Okuthe is a Kenyan-Canadian legal assistant with a strong focus on immigration, refugee, and health law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Cape Town in South Africa and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto.
While studying at the University of Cape Town, Cheryl interned with the Refugee Rights Unit at the university’s Faculty of Law, where she developed a deep interest in human rights and refugee protection. After completing her LLB, she articled at Malcolm Lyons & Brivik Inc., a prominent South African law firm, where she gained practical legal experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, and aviation-related injury cases.
Prior to earning her LLM, Cheryl worked at York International as a Global Liaison, providing non-academic support services to international students at York University. Her work there reinforced her passion for global engagement and legal advocacy, particularly for vulnerable and immigrant communities.
While pursuing her legal practitioner licensing with the Law Society of Ontario, Cheryl also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing, during which she published her literary work with O Bod Digital Magazine. This creative background complements her legal career by enhancing her communication, research, and writing skills.
Cheryl has completed articles at a boutique immigration law firm, where she gained hands-on experience in Canadian immigration and refugee law. Her combined legal training in both South Africa and Canada gives her a unique international perspective, which she brings to her work in immigration and health law.
Outside of her legal work, Cheryl enjoys reading, writing, and traveling. She continues to explore her literary interests while maintaining a strong commitment to social justice and legal advocacy.
